BED AND BREAKFAST
Stay in one of our spacious bedrooms. Rest and relax in the surrounding parkland. Take your continental breakfast in the beautiful grand dining room or on the terrace in the morning sun.
All rooms have access to the dining and comfortable seating area of the house, the front veranda, and the gardens at the front of the house. There are multiple seating areas, and you can take it easy in one of the hammocks hanging in the shade of the lime trees.
While our house doesn't have air conditioning, it was built with the long, hot Charente summers in mind, and stays blissfully cool throughout. All of our rooms have the benefit of shutters to ensure you can keep out the sun on the hottest days.
The Chateau is open from the beginning of May to the end of October each year. Outside these dates please contact us direct to discuss your requirements.
We are able to provide 'Table d'hote' evening meals to our residents. These are family meals taken alongside us as our guests. Wine, beers and spirits are available to purchase to complement your meal. Please give us at least 24hours notice if you wish to dine with us. The meals are 2 courses (either starter and main course, or main course and desert) and come with a pichet of wine at a cost of 20EUR per person (12EUR for children with a soft drink)
Alternatively, we are happy to provide you with details of restaurants in the surrounding area.
"MASCOTTE"
Mascotte can accommodate a family of 3, with a double bed and an extra single day bed suitable for a child.
It has beautiful views over the surrounding parkland and the local village of St Maurice des lions.
There is ample wardrobe and storage space, and the room has its own en suite shower room.
Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the room. A hairdryer and ironing equipment can be provided on request.
Mascotte is available from €60 per night.
"Auger Suite"
Auger can accommodate either a family of up to 4 or a group of up to 4 friends.
Set across two rooms, with a shared bathroom, there is a double bed in the main bedroom, and a day room with a convertible sofa bed which can either be a single or king size depending on your requirements
The day room also has direct access to a balcony with a table and chairs which is beautifully shaded and cool throughout most of the day.
The shared bathroom can be accessed either through the bedroom, or directly from the corridor without disturbing those in the bedroom. The period bathroom has an original cast iron bathtub, with over bath shower. It has a magnificent antique painted glass window.
There are tea and coffee making facilities in the day room, and a hairdryer and ironing equpment are available on request.
Auger is available from €80 per night
Viroulet Suite
The Viroulet suite is the Master Suite of the house. Comprising a large bedroom with king sized bed, a dressing room with a double sofa bed, and a bathroom with large bath and shower, we are able to accommodate families of up to 4.
Both the bedroom and dressing room have fabulous views over the surrounding parkland, with the dressing room having a large balcony (not accessible).
The bathroom has views of the surrounding farmland.
There are tea and coffee making facilities in the dressing room, and a hairdryer and ironing equipment are available on request.
