St Maurice des lions is a small commune in the North East Charente.  We are 5km from the beautiful market town of Confolens, and 50km from Limoges.  Our nearest airport is Limoges Bellegarde, which is approximately 35 minutes drive from us. 

 

In easy reach are also Angouleme and Poitiers, and slightly further afield is Bordeaux.   We are within 20km of the Lacs de la Haute Charente with their man made beaches and water sports activities.

We are situated just off the D948 between Confolens and St Maurice des lions.  This makes for excellent transport links for those day trips out, but does unfortunately mean that we do experience some noise from the road, however the external shutters provide fabulous light and sound blocks so no need to worry about the children waking up at the crack of dawn!
